What are Non-Integrated Compact Fluorescent Lamps

While the integrated lamps are going to combine both the tube and the ballast in the unit, the non-integrated versions do now. They have the ballast permanently installed elsewhere, and the only thing that one has to change at the end of the tube’s life is the tube. The ballasts are going to go right into the light fixture, and they are going to last much larger than the integrated ones do for the most part. You will find several different types of non-integrated lamp including the bi-pin tube, which they use in conventional ballasts, and the quad-pin tube, which works with electronic ballasts as well as with conventional ballasts that have an external starter.
